Life of the Ministry…

Gatherings January 27, 2010

Sunday School

Senior High students will have the option of attending one of our main services, either in the Sanctuary or The Offering in Gard Hall. The Sanctuary will have mixed elements including the organ, choir and liturgy. The Offering will be led by a worship band that rocks! They will worship and hear a relevant teaching with the rest of the congregation.

Jr High will begin worship in either the Sanctuary or The Offering then will be dismissed to go to their Sunday School which is in the Youth Room.

*note: every second Sunday of the month is Communion Sunday where all students will attend either the Sanctuary or The Offering service in it’s entirety so we can all receive communion together.

FISH

This is our high school [grades 9th-12th] gathering that plays together, worships together, learns together, interacts together, all to figure out more and more what it means to know Jesus.

We meet Sunday evenings from 7:30-9:00pm in the ‘garage’.

ROCK

This is our Jr High [grades 6th-8th] gathering where we play intense games, eat good food and figure out how God can be fully in our lives in this weird and awkward age.

Every last Monday of the month, we have SUPER ROCK which is a time where we do a really cool activity and a great time to invite friends. Past activities have included; ice-blocking, costume bowling, laser tag, Bounce Jungle and much much more!

We meet Mondays from 5:30-7:30pm. SUPER ROCK is from 5:30-8:00pm

Confirmation

Each year from October to May, we look intensely into scripture and learn as much as we can. Here, we begin to understand the meaning of Church and of funny words like ‘trinity,’  ‘Presbyterian,’ ‘salvation’ and more. This is for 8th graders and older.

We are currently in mid season right now so if you or your child wants to be involved next year, please look for applications in late summer.
